Quintessence Publishing receives prestigious award

Quintessence Publishing received the 2011 Master of Communication award at the Corporate Media: Distinction of Masters competition on December 3, 2011. This prize is awarded to corporations who have repeatedly distinguished themselves at a master level through their excellent, innovative achievements in media productions. The overall performance of corporate nominees is evaluated over a number of years by an independent interdisciplinary jury consisting of representatives of business and the sciences to determine the impact of their innovation and communication.

This highly renowned European award was first presented in 2000. Previous award recipients include Braun (consumer products), the BMW Group (automotive), the Swiss army, Bayer (pharmaceuticals), Daniel Swarovski (jewelry), Otto Versand (mail order), Bosch (engineering), Allianz (financial services), Siemens (technology), and Daimler (automotive). Quintessence Publishing is the first family-owned, mid-size enterprise to receive this prestigious award. At the award ceremony, Alexander Ammann, CEO of Quintessence Publishing, also gave the keynote speech: “The Convergence of Media Cycles in the Mirror of History.”

In addition to the global award, Master of Excellence and Best Screenplay and Concept awards went to iAS, a Quintessence subsidiary, and specifically to Dr Marko Reschke and his team and authors Prof Hendrik Terheyden and Dr Bernd Stadlinger, for their spectacular Cell-To-Cell Communication—Osseointegration computer animation video produced in cooperation with Astra Tech Dental.
