Integrating the Fundamental Concepts for Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry
The first day of this workshop will cover many facets of esthetic and restorative dentistry, including biomaterials, laboratory technology, operative techniques and principles, diagnostic and communication concepts, the impression process, anatomical morphologic design of the peri-implant region, the adhesive design concept, esthetic post systems, functional composite prototyping, periodontal plastic surgical procedures, and prosthetic guidelines for the treatment of interdisciplinary cases. Dr Terry will describe the techniques and materials for each of these topics, as illustrated in his new book Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry: Material Selection and Technique, Third Edition (Quintessence, 2018). The hands-on training given on the second day will change the game for dentists who are having difficulty with direct bonding of multiple composite restorations. Dr Terry will demonstrate numerous restorative applications for this technique, as described in his book Restoring with Flowables (Quintessence, 2017), including an injection technique that facilitates beautiful, direct provisional restorations on multiple anterior teeth. Note: Remember to bring your loupes.
