The key to dental photography is capturing images that accurately convey as much detail and useful information as possible, maximizing their potential to improve treatment outcome. An award-winning professional photographer and ceramist, Naoki Aiba, CDT, will explain the fundamentals of dental photography and explore its use in daily practice by presenting a number of clinical cases in which restorations were fabricated using only photographic information. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera and flash to practice the photographic techniques demonstrated.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Naoki Aiba, CDT, received his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Japan. He maintains a laboratory specializing in highly esthetic ceramic works in Monterey, California, where he also has a teaching facility at which he offers hands-on workshops throughout the year. Since 1992, he has lectured, instructed hands-on courses, and published research articles on ceramic restorations, dental photography, and dentist-laboratory esthetic communications in more than 30 countries. Mr Aiba currently serves as a member of the editorial board for Quintessence of Dental Technology and Spectrum Dialogue. Outside of the dental field, his award-winning landscape photography has been featured in publications worldwide.
