This case of avulsion of a maxillary central incisor in a boy, 12 years of age, was treated by mesially moving all the teeth in the affected quadrant. The authors discuss the circumstances that lead to this treatment, as well as its advantages and shortcomings. World J Orthod 2003;4:47–54.
