Aim: To describe clinical experience with the Straumann Orthosystem method for orthodontic anchorage. Material and Methods: The Straumann Orthosystem consists of a pure titanium implant, a healing cap with screw, and a set of burs and instruments for the insertion and removal of the implant. The elements of the recommended kit also include an octagonal plastic transfer, a laboratory analogue, and an octagonal steel cap for the laboratory phase. The step-by-step procedure is illustrated from diagnostic planning through the surgical phase. Conclusion: The Straumann Orthosystem represents a valid anchorage system for extraction and nonextraction cases, and it has proven to be an easy and noninvasive surgical technique that is comfortable for the patient.
