Professor Giuseppe Siciliani obtained his medical degree (1976) and dental degree (1979) from the University of Rome. He was appointed as a research fellow in Orthodontics at the Rome School of Dental Medicine and at the same time he was an associate professor at Rome La Sapienza Orthodontic School. He was appointed as an associate professor at Rome Tor Vergata University. In 1990, he became professor of Orthodontics at Ferrara University School of Graduate Dentistry and has been the chairman of the Department of Orthodontics since 1993. Between 1991 and 1994, he was president of Ferrara University School of Graduate Dentistry. Professor Siciliani has published 3 books and many articles in Italian and international journals. In 2003, he was president of the Italian Society of Lingual Orthodontics, and he was the president of the Italian Orthodontic Society (SIDO) in 2004. Professor Siciliani was also deputy in the Italian Parliament between 1994 and 1996.
