About the Editor

Rainer-Reginald Miethke is professor and chairman, Department of Orthopedics and Orthodontics, Charité, Humboldt-University, Berlin, a position he has held since 1994. Prior to this he was professor and chairman of the Department of Orthodontics and Pedodontics , Freie Universität, Berlin.

Prof Dr Miethke comes to WJO after serving for 22 years as editor-in-chief of the German orthodontic journal Kieferorthopädie and as a referee for numerous professional scientific journals. He is a past president of the European Orthodontic Society as well as the annual convention of the German Society of Orthodontics, Berlin, and has served as a scientific expert for the German Research Society.
