Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common disorder of the gastrointestinal tract in children and adults. The purpose of this report is to describe the case of a patient with GERD and the effects of the disease on the oral cavity, as well as to discuss functional and esthetic rehabilitation using composite resin. The authors also conducted a review of the literature on GERD etiopathogenesis, clinical signs and symptoms, diagnostic methods, and treatment. (Quintessence Int 2008;39:131–137)
