The present article describes the development and piloting of an Internet-accessible, database-supported event management system at the University of Münster orthodontic clinic. As an important component of the quality management of the clinic the database centralizes appointments and events and displays these transparently in the form of a HTML-GUI (HTML Graphical User Interface) in the local Intranet. The event overviews are also accessible in the global Internet arranged in tabular form with password protection.
