A technique to improve the accuracy of total maxillary surgery

Wylie/Epker/Mossop

To improve the rpedictability of results with maxillary surgery a device is described that permits the precise transfer of measurements from presurgical cephalometric prediction tracings and model surgery to the maxilla at surgery. The technique is most helpful in instances where the maxilla is being segmented, leveled, and/or rotated along with simultaneous mobilization of the mandible.
