The evaluation of intranasal anatomy in relation to the pre- and postoperative functional airway is an important part of the successful management of orthognathic surgery patients. This paper reports on a series of 27 patients who received such evaluation prior to surgery. Also included is a discussion of the common types of intranasal obstruction and the surgical management of such problems.
