Use of rigid internal fixation for management of intraoperative complications of mandibular sagittal split osteotomy

Complications occurring during mandibular sagittal split osteotomies may result in compromised healing, poor segment positions, malocclusion, and decreased function. The use of rigid fixation in the management of these complications may provide for improved intraoperative and long-term results.
