About the Editor

Robert L. Vanarsdall, Jr, DDS, is Professor and Chairman of Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. In addition to maintaining a private practice, he is on staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadephia and is Professor at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Raymond P. White, Jr, DDS, PhD, is Dalton L. McMichael Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, where he previously served as Dean. He is co-author of four books, is an internationally known speaker on dentistry, surgery, and health policy, and was elected a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science. Dr White also serves as assistant editor of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
