Questions regarding the mechanical performance of yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP)–supported ceramic systems have led to much debate in the dental literature. Over the past 4 years, however, increased understanding of the interaction between the veneering porcelain and Y-TZP core seems to have improved the associated clinical outcomes. Along with enhanced mechanical response and biocompatibility, Y-TZP porcelain crowns have shown excellent esthetic outcomes. This case report describes the 3-year follow-up of four single crowns in the maxillary anterior region fabricated using a Y-TZP copy-milling system and the slow-cooling method for feldspathic porcelain application. The 3-year evaluation revealed no signs of chipping or fracture. The final esthetic and functional results showed that this treatment modality seems to be a reliable method for restoring esthetically compromised anterior teeth.
