Dental erosion is an often underestimated pathology that is affecting
an increasing number of patients. When erosive tooth wear leads to
advanced tissue loss, oral rehabilitation becomes necessary. as a
result of improved restorative composite resin materials and adhesive
techniques, it is now possible to rehabilitate eroded teeth using
less-invasive techniques. however, advanced erosion may require
the placement of more extensive restorations such as ceramic veneers
or crowns. This article reports a clinical case involving the
use of ceramic crowns luted with self-adhesive cement to restore a
severely eroded maxillary dentition in a young adult patient. (Am J
Esthet Dent 2012;2:282–292.)
