Marcelo da Costa Camelo, DDS, director of the Brazil Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, has authored several publications on human periodontal regeneration, implant therapy, and guided bone regeneration. He pursued advanced studies in implant therapy and periodontics at the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Since 1996, he has lectured at courses sponsored by the American Academy of Periodontology.
